Backpackers love camping in AustraliaCamping in Australia can be a wonderfully rewarding way to see the country, especially for backpackers, adventurous types and independently minded travellers that love the outdoors.

Australia has a great climate and fantastic natural attractions that make camping an ideal low-cost alternative holiday option.

Austour's Overland Adventures are great value camping adventures that allow you to see Australia's best natural features in safety and comfort. The Overland Adventure and Camping Safari Tours through New South Wales, Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, West Australia and Victoria.

You'll travel in a 45 passenger coach, air-conditioned, toilet and rest room equipped, with adjustable reclining seats, public address system, stereo tape music and video/DVD. Each night camp out in a caravan park, camping ground or sometimes bush camping or in cabin style accommodation. Your tent and a foam mattress are provided for you and your meals are prepared by our catering manager. All you need to bring is your sleeping bag, liner and a small pillow.

If camping and pitching a tent every night isn't quite your thing, Austour also offer a Soft Adventure Option.

Soft Adventure accommodation includes budget style cabins, on site caravans, tourist lodges, two star hotel/motel rooms, homestead cabins, shearers quarters, underground cavern etc. The accommodation is generally located on or close to the camping park where the camping clients pitch their tents and establish their camp and kitchen.
